"My words echo into void."
— You Will Not Read Me
You will not read me.
Reading is dead.
As Video killed Radio, Media killed Literacy.
My words echo into void.
I speak to the twilight purples.
Even my goddess will not see these words.
We were taught to read.
We were taught to question.
Or at least I learned to question.
Is a flag worth pledging allegiance to?
Is there a separation of church and state if children are indoctrinated every morning and told they must say "under god" or be punished?
Is cultish devotion to a corrupt system that actively holds you down and kills those you love or those that love you truly what we should be teaching the impressionable minds of children?
I believe the children in Dilley would tell you no.
I believe the girls separated from their families, held down, and violated, would tell you no.
I believe the families who were dragged away, would tell you no.
Do not pledge your devotion to a flag.
Pledge your devotion to your fellow humans.
Protect your fellow humans when your flag tells you to watch them scream.
You have a right to free speech.
As long as it complies with the message your government is pushing.
You have a right to liberty and justice.
Unless it more convenient to put you in a box quickly and lose the key.
You have a right to Autonomy.
Unless you are a woman or a child.
You have a right to bear arms Against your oppressors.
An Obligation.
Will you let them take that from you as well?
Put away your phones.
Pull out your fists.
